2.1 Information You Provide and We Collect

To provide the services of Uknow, we access, collect, store and use the following Information relating to you:

1) information provide to us when you open a UKNOW BUSINESS PROMOTIONS account, including your account name, gender, date of birth, age, city or area, social media account information (profile photo, gender, etc.), and any tags you posted about yourself;

2) any information included in your UKNOW BUSINESS PROMOTIONS profile which are visible to other users of UKNOW BUSINESS PROMOTIONS , or information you make available to us via your use of UKNOW, which may include your photos, gender, and city or area; tgis implies that you are willing to share your information publicly.

3) information about your and others’ usage of and interaction with the service and our application, including usage by geographies, device and connection information, IP address, device capability, bandwidth, statistics on page views, and network type;

4) information we collect as you use UKNOW , which may include:

  • ✓ technical information, such as your mobile carrier-related information, configuration information made available by other programs you use to access UKNOW, your IP address, your location/country/region/time zone, your device's version and identification number, user settings, and the operating system; and
  • ✓ information about the likes and dislikes you have made using UKNOW.

2.2 Special Note about Sensitive Personal Information

To provide certain features, we must access your microphone, camera, or location, with your permission, as described below:

1) Contacts: We access your contacts to send them real time messages and notifications about your purchases.

2) Camera, Gallery, media and files: We access the camera on your device (with your permission) to take your profile pictures, record video and for you as merchant to upload product photos and as users to share your photos.

3) Location: We use your current location to show you relevant deals and merchant information (with your permission) to provide personalized and optimized experience for merchants and users.

4) Manage and make phone calls: When you start using the Uknow App, you typically need to register with your mobile number and/or email and/or social login. In order to verify the mobile number, Uknow will either call you or send you a code via SMS or/And email. Hence, Uknow requires this permission.

By using UKNOW BUSINESS PROMOTIONS INC services, you agree that all processing activities of sensitive personal information are for the purposes and in the manner as described in this Privacy Policy.

Please note that we do not use your sensitive personal information for the purpose of making direct marketing unless agreed by you.

  • We will allow the individual access to this information;
  • We will provide an account of how we have used or will use the information; and
  • We will inform individuals of third parties to which the information has been disclosed.

Note that section 4.9 of PIPEDA does provide that in certain situations, an organization may not be able to provide access to all personal information it holds but exceptions should be limited and specific and reasons for not providing access should be provided to the individual.

Adhering to the above section we may not be able to your request, only if there is an exception and the detailed reasons will be made available to you by us.

You can at anytime write or speak to us to withdraw from the consent that you have given us and to discontinue using Uknow services. Upon reciept of such intimation we will delete your entire record as early as possible.

Before the final deletion of your profile and your data, we will send a final email/call to you to re confirm the final deletion of your profile and your other data from our systems.
